Easy Homemade Lip Balm Recipes

Getting your lips in shape is always very important. Not only can the chapping and the dry lips be a very painful and uncomfortable ordeal but the ashy look can also be very embarrassing.The only problem not many people are for the idea of buying lip balm from companies that have become more interested in making a profit than the safety of their consumers. However, you don't have to take the risk.You can simply make your own homemade lip balm yourself that will serve the same purpose if not better. Here are some recipes that will make a lip balm that will make your lips soft and luscious.Homemade Lavender lip balm.The best part about this lip balm is the fact that it involves the use of essential oils. These have a great ability to help you make a great lip balm that has some very edgy luscious abilities not to mention that it also has honey as part of the ingredients which gives it a great taste. For this particular lip balm, you will need;• 4 tablespoons of either olive oil or almond.• A table spoon of honey.• Beeswax pearls (1 tablespoon).• Lavender oil (7 drops).• If you would like some color, you will also need a teaspoon of colored lipstick preferably natural.• Cocoa powder. (this is optional)Procedure.Start by melting the beeswax and honey in a bowl that is made of stainless steel. Make sure that you use low heat and keep stirring until you have both of the ingredients well melted, remove from the heat and add the essential oil of your choice and throw in the colored lipstick the vitamin E and the coca powder if you choose to add this and lastly, you can set the concoction in an ice water pan and then continue whisking as you add the honey. After it has mixed well, you can then place the mixture in your lip balm container and let is solidify for the next three hours after which it is ready to use.Coco Rosey.This is one of those lip balm recipes that have that soothing effect to your lips. It is among those lip balms that quickly become a companion at all times.What you will need;• Dried rosebuds (you can also use any other dried flowers like green tea).


• Coconut oil, coconut butter (2 and 1 tablespoons respectively.• Vitamin E• Essential oil (rose oil in this case.) 3 drops.Procedure.Start by melting the coconut oil and as usual you should make sure that you use a stainless steel on very low heat. After it has melted add in the roses or whichever other dried flower that you opted for and keep stirring. Let it steep for another hour still on low heat then strain into a bowl. Clean out the original container and place it back in the heat. Place the oil you have just strained back into the original container and while still heating, add the essential oil and Vitamin E and keep stirring then remove from the fire and place the mixture in a small container and let it solidify. After this you can be able to test your new lip balm recipe.Minty Chocolate lip balm.This lip balm has two of the things that most of the women fall in love with. These are a chocolaty taste and a minty breath. It can't get better than that. To get this experience you will first need to get a number of things that include;• Cocoa butter.• Honey.• Shea butter.All of these have to a table spoon.• Grated beeswax 1 table spoon.• Coconut oil 1/8th cup• Cocoa powder 1 tablespoon.• Peppermint 3 drops and vitamin oil 1/8.Procedure.Start with the coconut oil, Shea and the cocoa butter and place them in an appropriate container and heat under low heat for about 20 minutes while at the same stirring though occasionally. Add the beeswax and wait for it to melt completely before you can remove the mixture from the heater. Add the other ingredients one by one while stirring all the time to ensure uniform mixture. After everything is in there, you can transfer it into a smaller container and let it settle.The best thing is about homemade lip balm is not the fact that it is cheaper and easy to make but it lets you use ingredients that you are confident about and those that you're confident will be of help.
